Here is the class group photo. Jeff S and Stu showed up that evening. Anyone have any photos with them? You can enlarge the photos by clicking on them.

And here we are with the families...

A big thank you to Kathy and her husband Kevin for sharing their photos. If anyone has any more, please email me.

Ok, I really think THIS is the final post

I tried to email everyone but I don't have all the email addresses and some of them bounced back to me, so I'm posting this here in hopes that people might check it.

Jennifer has set up a tour of the school on Saturday before the reunion. We're meeting at 11am in the back parking lot by the gym. Bring the whole family. I haven't been in there in a few years so I'm interested to see what it looks like now. Hope to see some of you there!

Final Update (I think)

Sorry I've been so late in posting this information. I was having trouble accessing the blog and then I got distracted. Just ask Dean as I didn't email him back for an entire month...

Ok, so here's the scoop:
If you RSVP'd for the reunion, you should have received a postcard with this info on it already. If you did not RSVP and still want to come, it's not too late. It may be too late to order a meal, but definitely not to late to come. Just give Steve a call.

So far, (and I'm doing this from memory so if I left someone out, I'm sorry) Jeff and I, Abby, Leslie, Rob B, Bob N, Aaron, Kary, Lisa F, Kathy, Dean, Bill, Jennifer, Lisa P, Holly, Charlie, and maybe Stuart are coming. (Steve too of course) The cost is per classmate (not per person) and it's $25. This includes the cost of renting a tent, some tables and chairs, paper products, portable toilets, water, and lemonade and such. I f you want something other than (or stronger than) lemonade, please bring your own. If you want the meal from Millers (chicken, jerked pork, potato, salad and roll), it's $9 a plate. And if the kids want hamburgers and hot dogs, it's $2 per child. Or you can always bring your own food.

There will be music, some crafts for kids (I'm not sure what they are but they involved color copies of the parents' yearbook photos), volleyball, a swing set for the kids and lots of time for everyone to catch up. Hope to see you there.

Update on attendance

Great news! We've now heard from two more classmates. Lisa P and Bob N will be attending. Don't forget to RSVP soon so the final cost can be tallied up. Also, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they're welcome too!

We still haven't been able to contact Melinda, Mitchell, Robert S or Victor. So if anyone has a way to contact them, please let them know about the reunion.

Will you be there?

Steve asked me to post the RSVPs so far. Please try to do this (whether you're coming or not) by the end of the month. Shortly after that you'll know the cost, which shouldn't be that much. You can email or call Steve directly.

So far, in addition to Steve, of course:
Charlie
Henry
Holly
Jeff and I
Jennifer
Kary
Kathy
Lisa F
Robb

have all said they'd be there. Come on, you know you want to come.

Steve also said that he plans to take the kiddos to the grandparents later in the day and hang out with anyone who wants to stay into the night so people can talk without kids running around. So, if you can't make it during the day, come in the evening. I think most people have relatives in the area, but if anyone with kids wants to stay late and is having trouble finding a babysitter, email or call and we can try to find one.

More Reunion Events

Don't forget that the Alumni Banquet is June 28. The school will send something out as it gets closer. I've heard from several people that they plan to attend. Lisa F. said that even if you don't want to attend the Banquet at school, you can catch up with some classmates at the Davenport. Stop by the Davenport before, during, and/or after the banquet. It's like a warm up for the reunion and you may see some people that can't make it in July.

Holly was kind enough to set up a group tour of the wind farm. If you haven't been back in a while, the view looks a little different than it did 20 years ago. Anyone interested can meet at the visitor center on Friday, July 11, at 10:30. It's on Eagle Factory Road, which is off 177 just before you get to Lowville.

RSVP Here!

It's time to get a head count for the reunion. Steve and Dawn have done some calling around and have gotten some good prices on a large party tent, 2 big rectangular tables, 30 chairs and two port a potties. It looks like this will be very reasonable, but we won't know what everyone will be asked to pitch in until we get a head count.

Also, a lot of people have asked about having the meal catered so we don't all have to bring our own food. Dawn called Millers in Lowville and got some prices. It's $9 a plate for chicken, jerked pork, potatoes, tossed salad and roll. We still have grills available so we could get hot dogs or some other option for kids. Please let us know if anyone has any other ideas for food. Dawn said it doesn't have to be Millers, she just thought it was a good price for good food.

Right know it's just really important to get a head count. So, please email, call, or write a letter so they know how many adults and kids will be there. Also if you have ideas or suggestions, call or email. The reunion is about getting as many of us together as possible and having fun. Everyone is welcome to offer ideas and help with planning. You should receive another flyer in the mail soon with Steve & Dawn's phone number to RSVP. Or you can leave a comment here with your first name and whether or not you'll attend on July 12. Please include how many adults and how many kids.

Reunion Music iMix is here!

iMix Knights88, a music collection for our reunion, is now available on iTunes. Be sure to send in your ideas of what to add and we'll bring all the music to the reunion. Have fun sampling the music blasts from the past!

Posting to this blog

This site is set up so that any of us can leave a comment (as a couple people already have). But if you want to start your own post or topic, you have to become an author. It's really pretty simple. If you'd like to be able to do this, please email me and I'll send anyone in our class an invitation to become an author. You will have to set up a blogger account but it's free, you don't have to give your address or phone number and you just follow the directions as they pop up.

Just let me know if you're interested.

More info on the Picnic

I talked to Steve and he's really looking forward to seeing everyone. Steve and Dawn have three kids and a big swing set/play area, sand area, and toys. He's going to set up a volleyball net for bigger kids and adults too.

We will need to rent a couple portable toilets so we don't overload their septic. Kids and babies who need diaper changes are welcome to use the bathroom in the house. But we'll need an alternative for adults.

We don't need a big party tent but it would be nice, especially if it rains.

Once we have prices and an idea of how many people are coming and what are costs are, we'll let you know what everyone needs to pitch in. It shouldn't be that much.

That being said, if any of you know of any good deals on that stuff, please comment here or email, or call.

AND if you have any ideas or want to help in planning, setting up or cleaning up, please let us know.

Reunion Mailing

Welcome everyone!

We just mailed a notice out to all the addresses that we currently have. If you are in contact with other people in our class, please give them a call and make sure they received it. If they didn't, that means we still need their contact information. We don't want to leave anyone out so please spread the word.

Senior Trip

Our class in front of Epcot, Spring 1988

Where are they now?

We now have a pretty good list of classmates' mailing and/or email addresses since Kary sent the first email out trying to track people down. But some people are still missing. If you know how to contact any of the following people (or if your name appears below) please get in touch with Kary or Jennifer S. For their privacy, please DON'T put their contact info in a comment.

Flashback... 1975

I believe this is Mrs. Carroll's kindergarten class in the fall of 1975. Someone correct me if that's wrong. Thanks to Kathy and Kary for the photo.

Reunion 2008.... Save the Date!!

Save the Date!
Our 20th (Can you believe that?) Reunion will be July 12, 2008. We're having a cookout/picnic. And there will be more details soon.

The Alumni Banquet is Saturday, June 28. Some people are interested in attending that too. So once we find out the exact time and details, I'll post that here too.
